Gratitude . . .

In honor of my father, Robert B. Hershey, Am Red Cross,
Corsica, Italy WWII,
my father in law,
Beverly C. Robertson, Air Force WWII and a POW,
my husband,
Glenn J. Robertson, US Navy Vietnam,
my niece Jenny Hershey, US Navy
Gulf War,
and my nephew, Ryan Hershey graduating from
Farmersville HS
this week and leaving for boot camp
in August, US Marines. I am so proud
of all of you and the
sacrifice you so lovingly gave for our great country!

Restland Cemetery, where my mom is also buried,
has a Memorial Service every year and this year
also put a flag for each militiary
person killed during this war.

Today, I stopped by Restland as they have a ceremony
everyMemorial Day
to honor our vets. I wanted to see
the set up and also the 4563 + flags
they put up on
the corner honoring those who
have sacrificed
for us in the middle east.

There was a family having a picnic there also in the
war section, as their parents and grandparents are
buried there. It is their annual picnic, the day before
Memorial Day to sit there and reminice about their family.
So, I took a few photos for them
and of them which they will be happy to have!

Hi Katherine, thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for the kind words.

These are wonderful photos for Memorial Day. And wow...I'm very honored and thankful to talk to someone with so many family members in the army/marine. My thoughts are with your father, father in law, husband, and others, thank you all for protecting this country!

I've subscribed to your blog, so I'll be looking for your updates :).

Henry

AFI Film Festival Dallas

Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to work as a photographer for the AFI film festivals' second year in operation, here in Dallas! What fun it was to go downtown every day and have an assignment to cover! I got to work the Red Carpet opening night, at the
Historic Majestic Theater downtown, and here are some of the photos from opening evening!

Some interesting clothes were to be had both on the men's side as well
as the womens!

Wildflowers in the Park

The city of Richardson plants wildflowers
every spring along the parkways, medians,
and just about anywhere they please! They
make a great backdrop for photographers and
you can find someone just about any time
of the day in our park photographing
someone! I had the pleasure of photographing
Tanner who is now 2 and Sorrell and Jordan
this past weekend! It was a busy time
in the park. . . . .
